Two new partners for Arkwood as it continues to grow and consolidate its leading position

Arkwood announces the arrival of Eugénie Berthet and the internal promotion of Xavier Guérin, who has been an associate of the firm since it was founded in 2015. Eugénie Berthet is the first ‘lateral partner’ of the firm, which in just a few years has become one of the undisputed leaders in wealth tax.
Eugénie has 30 years’ professional experience in tax, particularly in Anglo-Saxon law firms, and has a particularly strong international focus, especially in the United States and the United Kingdom. Her expertise in trusts is a perfect fit with Arkwood’s core business, which she complements by adapting foreign employee share ownership plans for application in France.
Eugénie comments: “Arkwood was an obvious choice at this stage of my career. I have worked in large Anglo-Saxon law firms and in generalist French structures. Today I’m choosing to join a boutique firm with a strong team spirit that enjoys a very good image and an excellent international reputation.

A member of the team since the launch of Arkwood and appointed Counsel in 2021, Xavier works for family groups and entrepreneurs on the structuring, development and transfer of their assets, as well as estate planning, particularly in the context of transfers of residence and international mobility to the United States or Italy.
