Catalina Lorieux Candrea

Catalina is an associate of ARKWOOD SCP, which she joined in July 2023.

She is responsible for the firm’s support to its major private clients across their legal and administrative needs, such as those related to private art collections, the preparation of financials for accounting purposes, issues related to private staff, and coordination of relationships with banking and insurance institutions. In this context, she can act as agent to sell a property on behalf of the clients.

In addition, Catalina serves clients on national and international private law issues, with a special focus on family, individuals, and property law in an international context. 

Her competence includes handling the civil aspects of inheritance and gifts.

She also assists individuals wishing to obtain visas, residence permits in France or acquire French nationality. She also deals with questions related to French social security / health insurance issues. 

Catalina previously served as in-house counsel for the Aga Khan Development Network Foundation (2014-2021), and as a legal assistant, reporting to the head of the Private Clients Department at UGGC & Associés in Paris (2005-2013). She has also completed internships specializing in international civil law. 

Catalina is fluent in English, French and Romanian. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Bogdan Voda University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2010). She holds two Masters degrees, one in International Comparative Family Law (Cluj-Napoca, 2011), and a second in European International Law and Comparative Law (Toulouse 1 University, 2015).

She was admitted to the Paris Bar in December 2023.
